Recreation Rehabilitation - Drug & Alcohol Rehab
and Mental Disorder Treatment

Exercise and outdoor activity are vital to restoring wellness and developing positive patterns in your life, and overcoming mental disorders and addiction. In addition to physical rehabilitation, recreation and outdoor activities reduce stress, build coping abilities and help to enhance your mental clarity.

We employ a full-time Recreation Coordinator / Personal Trainer who works with clients on an individual and group basis. On-site we have a state-of-the-art gym, sand volleyball court, basketball, and our own private track with exercise stations, surrounded by our beautiful garden grounds. Right on New Seasons’ doorstep is a rich world of year-round outdoor recreation, including:
  • walking on the beach
  • world-class surfing
  • concerts in the park
  • Channel Island sailing
  • hiking, camping, and fishing in the Los Padres National Forest
  • championship-quality golfing; bicycling; and horseback riding along mountain trails.

Ventura County is home to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Fillmore & Western historic railway offering train rides, the San Buenaventura Mission, art galleries featuring world famous artists, and a state-of-the-art Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks offering symphony, ballet and a variety of outstanding theatrical performances.

Your recreation and socialization therapy will be individually tailored to accommodate your hobbies and interests, and will introduce you to new and exciting avenues to explore.

Yoga
Yoga is recognized for its numerous benefits in improving physical and emotional well-being. Aside from relieving stress, it can put you in touch with yourself on a deeper level, creating a strong sense of empowerment. In conjunction with our clinical programs, yoga can hasten  mental disorder and addiction recovery and provide spiritual and physical comfort. If appropriate, we will incorporate Yoga into your program as an aid to heal the whole body and help you explore your inner self.
